Best Modern Mailboxes to Update Your Curb Appeal
An easy and simple way to modernize your home and give it a little curb appeal is with a new mailbox. Depending on where you live you may have a curbside or wall mounted mailbox, but that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice your style.
It’s unfortunate that the big box stores only carry the equivalent of a fisher price mailbox or some “nicer” mailboxes but they are more traditional in style and only come in black. Where’s the fun in that? As an adult, most mail sucks, its random medical bills, ads for crap you don’t want, the once a year car registration notice that always catches you off guard.
So, why not at least bring a little joy to the mail experience and get a fun modern mailbox?
There’s basically only a few companies that make modern mailboxes, so here’s a roundup of faves. They range in price but last forever so think of it as a nice little investment and not just a receptacle for junk mail and unwanted bills.
Modbox USA
Prices Range from $159-$269
Modbox USA offers the largest selection of colors at the lowest price point. They use to add a few pieces of candy inside each mailbox but not sure if they are still doing that. It was a delightful surprise!
Deus Modern
Prices Range from $299-$519
These mailboxes definitely skew more modern and would pair well with newly built modern style container homes or prefabs. They come with custom numbering or without. The downside is that they are often sold out and there is no way to get a notification when they are available again. They do have a very chic looking birdhouse too, if you are into that kinda thing.
Modern Aspect
Prices Range from $175-$245
Mailboxes and succulents, oh my! Not a huge selection, only come in black, white, grey and brown and these are often sold out but who could resist a modern mailbox with a happy little succulent?
Modern Mailbox
Prices Range from $100-$225
Another option within the more affordable price range. Colors are fairly standard, black, white, grey, stainless steel but they do offer a splash of color with a robin’s egg, or caribbean with some options that looks fantastic and adds a little personality.
