How to change up your home with inspiration from the pantone spring/summer 2021 color trends
The Pantone 2021 Spring/Summer color trend report has arrived.
Generally speaking I can’t stand being told what to do, and I have also seen The Devil Wears Prada so many times that I feel like the people behind the color trend reports are basically pre-selecting colors for everyone to follow in fashion and home decor. What’s the fun in that?
However, I do like being able to get a fresh perspective on color combinations and looking forward to the future, particularly when we seem perpetually stuck in the shitshow that is 2020.

So , how do you actually use these colors, does this mean you need to repaint every room in your home? No. Please do not do that.
I like starting with the core colors because most of the time the reflect at least part of my existing color palette with at least one that is more neutral. In this case I have notes of Inkwell, Ultimate Grey and Willow already in my home. Since we have been stuck in our homes for so much of this year, changing out a few accents like pillows, vases, throws, kitchen accessories, and office supplies can bring new life into your space.

In a perfect world with extra storage space I would have a few different color palettes on hand to switch things up every so often.
